‘’Ready to do all for Bengal’’ Shahrukh says to Mamata

KOLKATA: Bollywood superstar and Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) joint owner Shahrukh Khan met Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee at Writers’ Buildings this evening before the IPL match at the Eden Gardens. Shahrukh, the brand ambassador of West Bengal, was closeted with the Chief Minister at her chamber for about 20 minutes. Interacting with newspersons later; Shahrukh said he was ready to help the state in all aspects. ‘I have a deep connection with Bengal and I am willing to do all for the state,’ the actor maintained. ‘I also agreed to become the brand ambassador as soon as I was asked by Didi,’ he observed. The Chief Minister, who called Shahrukh as her brother, went to Eden Gardens along with him soon after. The KKR is taking on Delhi Daredevils at its fi rst IPL match at the Eden Gardens tonight.
